Free Day! Off to The Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower

To say the least it took us a few minutes to figure out how to get to the Arc de Triomphe... It is in the middle of a 6 lane roundabout... and you have to figure out which underground passageway to take to get there.
When we finally found it we were so excited that we just went straight up and started climbing the hundreds of stairs . About 1/4 of the way up we started to have second thoughts.



There was an AMAZING view as you can immagine from the top of the Arc. Here is a sampling of what we were able to look at!


The under part of the Arc was extremely detailed. There was a lot of names, scripting, and sculpture.




The Eiffel Tower! Need I say more...

It took us a while to get there.. we had to stop and have a few drinks.. but when we made it.. we were very happy. Nathan wanted to climb all 700+ stairs after we had climbed the Arc de Triomphe and walked about 6 miles... We took a pass on that.
