Versailles, Sacre-Coeur & Montmartre

After a day of acquainting ourselves with the city, we took a day trip to go see Versailles. Lucky for us it was NATIONAL FIELD TRIP DAY! Well, maybe not but it sure did seem that way. Once we reached Versailles we bought our museum passes and stepped into a fast moving swarm of elementary aged children with crazy guides, along with a group of other unfortunate sight seers who were lucky just as we were to choose THIS day to go to Versailles.
After the initial shock of being swarmed by children wore off and we moved to the part of the house that had furniture we were just in awe at the sheer size (Both big and small) of the furniture, as well as the luxurious nature of the items in the room. If things were not plastered in Gold, Marble, Silk, or Velvet, it was painted to look like it was. Sure would have been nice to live there... The fireplaces were taller than I was with the ability to burn 5 foot long logs. The beds were at least two stories tall, but they were made for someone who looked to only be 5 foot tall. The paintings were as large as the rooms and the Gardens were breathtaking!

Our trip out to Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre was deff.worth it. It was so much fun to just walk around and see all of the sights. We had some really good food and I even got called Miss America... humm.. Imagine that.
